I cannot recall a time since the UN started in 1945 that the mission and work of the UN is so needed across the world.

Peace, prosperity, justice and the rule of law seem a distant hope in so many areas of the world.

It is fitting that today (9th October 2026) the Nobel Peace prize for 2026 has been awarded to a great UN supporter, Navi Pillay. Her work is exemplary over many years.
